A smoky haze surrounds the Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge as two Canada geese walk on the Tarrytown riverfront June 7, 2023. The state Department of Environmental Conservation issued air quality advisories for most of New York due to smoke from wildfires in Canada.

(New York, NY) — The smoke from Canada’s wildfires will likely be back this weekend. A storm system from Milwaukee will blow the smoke our way. It’s not expected to be as bad as it was last week.  So far, there are no air quality alerts.  Firefighters continue to try and douse the fires in Quebec, but they are far from out.
