Centereach, NY (77WABC)- A Middle Island man was arrested 25 minutes after allegedly robbing the M & T Bank branch in Centereach.
Officers from Suffolk County’s 6th Police precinct found a man matching the description of the bank robbery suspect at 3:45 pm Tuesday, Jan. 31st in the parking lot
of 1740 Middle Country Road in Centereach.
Police took 65-year-old Ralph William Dominguez into custody.
At 3:20 pm Dominguez allegedly entered the M&T Bank, located at 1919 Middle Country Road, and handed a note demanding cash to a bank teller.
The employee complied and Dominguez fled on foot at approximately 3:20 p.m.
Police say Dominguez, of 21 Winterbury Drive, is charged with robbery 3rd degree, a felony.
The man was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to
be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on February 1.
