Holbrook, NY (77WABC)-Suffolk County Police and Suffolk County’s SPCA say a Holbrook man faces a slew of animal cruelty charges after allegedlykicking a dog resulting in the dogs death and threatening the dogs owner last month.
Suffolk County SPCA with the help of Suffolk County Police Wednesday night arrested Scott A Walker was arrested at the Valero Mini Mart, located at 1080 Main St., Holbrook at 8:54 p.m.
An animal hospital reported a suspicious death of a dog to the Suffolk County SPCA on December 20th. An autopsy was done on the dog, called a forensic necropsy, leading tothe charges against Walker.
Authorities allege Walker kicked the dog at his residence, located on Dolphin Lane in Holbrook, NY , causing the injuries that resulted in the
dog’s death, and for threatening the dog’s owner, another resident of the house.
Police say the 44-year-old Walker was charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, Animal Cruelty, Criminal Mischief,
Aggravated Harassment 2 nd Degree, and Coercion 3rd Degree.
He is being held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in
Central Islip on January 12.
