BROOKLYN, N.Y. (77WABC) — The death of a woman found inside of her apartment by emergency responders following a fire has been ruled a homicide.
FDNY personnel found 40-year-old Sugerys Ramirez dead on Nov. 11th, 2022 after putting out a fire at her residence located at 124 Van Siclen Avenue. She was discovered unconscious and unresponsive, inside of apartment 2C .
Police say on scene EMS pronounced Ramirez dead at the fire scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
