APTOPIX Subway Station Evacuated
NEW YORK (77WABC) — MTA workers doing a routine track inspection discovered a dead man shortly after midnight Thursday under a stairwell ramp at a west village subway hub near West 4th Street and 6th Avenue.
Police say the man had stab or slash wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
The medical examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy to determine how and when the man died, and to try and determine his identity.
