BROOKLYN, N.Y. (77WABC) — A man shot and killed outside the Sheepshead Bay NYCHA Development at 2932 Avenue V on Halloween has been identified as 25-year-old Jamel Nicholson of 1410 Brooklyn Avenue in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Police from the 61st precinct responded to a report of shots fire at approximately 5:11 pm. Upon arrival, officers found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds.
The second victim is a 19-year-old woman who was shot in her chest, right knee and right hip. Police say she was taken to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in stable condition.
Nicholson was shot in his chest and buttocks and was taken to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
