SAN FRANCISCO (77WABC) — The suspect accused of attacking Nancy Pelosi’s husband with a hammer is facing attempted murder charges.
The San Francisco district attorney’s office announced that and other charges against 42-year-old David DePape Monday. He allegedly hit 82-year-old Paul Pelosi with a hammer after forcing his way into the couple’s home on Friday.
He’s expected to be arraigned Tuesday. The suspect told police he wanted to hold the speaker hostage.
Pelosi was seriously injured in the attack.
