(New York, NY) — There are new COVID concerns in pockets of Manhattan, with the virus positivity rate climbing more than 20 percent over the last seven days. COVID cases are way up in Hell’s Kitchen and in Chelsea. The numbers have climbed as two new COVID-19 variants have emerged. The CDC and some city health officials say they have some fears of a COVID winter surge. They are asking New Yorkers to again roll up their sleeves to get a COVID booster shot.
