NEW YORK (77WABC) — The NYPD says overall transit crime was up in September by 4 percent compared to the same month a year earlier.
Transit assaults were up more than 16 percent year over year.
The NYPD says robberies make up 40-percent of crime in all of New York City and attributes to nearly half of the increase in crime so far this year.
43 offenders have been arrested and unbelievable one thousand times.
