BROOKLYN, NY (77WABC) — Police say a 17-year-old male was arrested Monday in connection with July’s fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old woman .
Police say the teenager, whose name is being withheld due to his age, was arrested Monday by officers from the 67th Precinct. He is charged with one count each of murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
At 11:29 pm the night of Sunday July 24th, officers responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 4808 Beverly Road. Responding officers found a 26-year-old woman with stab wounds to her neck and arms. EMS took the woman to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Kings County, where she was pronounced dead.
The victim was identified as Shanelle Colquhoun of 4808 Beverly Road in Brooklyn.
A motive for the killing has not yet been released.
