Rail Congestion
NEW YORK (77WABC) — The White House is trying to avoid a national rail strike which could happen as early as Friday.
Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said it would have broad and profound impacts on the shipment of food and products across the U.S. She told reporters President Biden has been personally involved in efforts to encourage rail companies and workers to settle their differences.
The secretaries of labor, agriculture and transportation are also involved.
