NEW YORK (77WABC) — You can now monitor trains and purchase tickets on your phone — all on one app.
The MTA is introducing a new app. TrainTime will combine features from the Metro-North, the Long Island Rail Road, and MTA e-Tix, allowing riders to buy tickets and monitor train time in one app.
Officials say it will also have real-time train tracking and improve the accuracy of train arrival times. MTA e-Tix will update to TrainTime in mid-August, while the Long Island Rail Road TrainTime and Metro-North TrainTime apps will be phased out.
