NEW YORK, NEW YORK-(77 WABC)- The Trump Organization’s chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, is expected to plead guilty to tax charges as early as this week according to sources reported by ABC News.
The 75 year old allegedly avoided taxes on more than $1.7 million in the past 15 years, resulting from the payment of rent on an apartment in a Trump-owned building as well as other expenses prosecutors say included cars and private school tuition for his grandchildren. Sources said he is expected to serve some prison time. The Trump Organization is expected to go to trial in the fall
Weisselberg was denied a motion to have the charges against him thrown out.
