NEW YORK (77WABC) — A vicious attack against a Brooklyn woman and her dog who died — has changed her perspective on city safety.

The woman, Jessica — like many New Yorkers — says she no longer feels safe. She told CBS 2 that she and her dog were attacked by a man in Prospect Park.

Jessica’s dog Moose died during a 2nd emergency surgery.

So far there have been no arrests in the case. The animal cruelty squad is investigating.

The Parks Department said its officers patrol the park daily and work closely with the NYPD.
