(77 WABC) – NYC Mayor Eric Adams alongside other NYC organizations in the health and testing fields joined forces with Dr. Ashish Jha, White House COVID-19 Response coordinator, to discuss the launch of the “Test to Treat” program.
This program marks the nation’s first-ever mobile-based testing initiative. The mobile testing units in participation with the program will be managed by NYC Test & Trace Corps where an on-site clinician will provide eligible patients, those who have tested positive at the site, access to antiviral prescriptions.
The program is set to expand through July and will be able to distribute antiviral medications come this summer at its unit locations.
New Yorkers can visit nyc.gov/covidtest if they would like to find a testing site run by New York City.
