NHL: Stanley Cup Playoffs-Colorado Avalanche at Edmonton Oilers
After defeating the Blues in six games the Avalanche rolled through Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers sweeping them. Game one was a wild game as Colorado beat Edmonton 8-6, while in game two the Avalanche took care of business easily beating the Oilers 4-0.
In game three the Avalanche beat the Oilers in a close one 4-2. In game four last night the Avalanche trailed by two goals twice 3-1 and 4-2 but overcame both deficits taking down the Oilers in overtime 6-5.
The Avalanche won the game and the series on a shot by Artturi Lehkonen from point blank range sending Colorado to the Stanley Cup Final. Colorado has looked dominant all playoffs long and have a record of 12-2 so far this postseason.
The Avalanche have a really great team and I’m not surprised they’re in the Stanley Cup Final, and I won’t be surprised if they win it all. The Avalanche will await the winner of the Rangers Lightning series, and will have to wait 11 days for the start of the Stanley Cup Final.
