NEW HYDE PARK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- Tragedy on Long Island as police continue to investigate a two vehicle crash which left three women dead. It happened Saturday night on Jericho turnpike , in New Hyde Park after 11 pm. The three women were killed in the crash near a catering hall after leaving a Sweet 16 birthday party— allegedly by a drunk driver.
Police say the vehicle was speeding –reportedly as high as 90 miles an hour. They say 22 year old Dante Lennon of Freeport, was driving the vehicle which struck the town car with a driver and five passengers inside. Lennon has been charged with three counts of vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault, and driving while intoxicated. He’s currently being held without bail.
