First Texas Bus Drops Off Migrants Blocks from US Capitol in Washington, DC

syndication-abilene

NEW YORK (77WABC) — Texas Governor Gregg Abbott has kept his promise to deposit illegal immigrants being placed in small Texas border towns to President Biden’s doorstep. A bus from Texas arrived in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning, transporting dozens of illegal immigrants.

Abbott announced last week that he was directing the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to transport migrants released from federal custody in Texas to the nation’s capital and other locations outside his state.

Governor Abbott insists the Federal Government is failing to adequately address the border crisis. President Biden recently announced the rescinding of title 42 , allowing a huge influx of migrants across the U.S. Mexico border. The Trump era rule was used to expel migrants swiftly due to COVID.
