NYPD Searching for Man Who Slashed Straphanger Over Seating

NEW YORK (77WABC) — The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who slashed a straphanger in the face and neck with a box cutter.

On April 5 around 6 a.m. on a northbound 4 Train at the Wall Street Station, the 43-year-old male victim and the unidentified male attacker got into an argument over seating. The the attacker then pulled out the box cutter and slashed the victim.

The attacker fled topside at the Wall Street station, continued southbound on foot on Broadway and reentered the subway by jumping the turnstile at Whitehall Street-South Ferry.
