President Biden meets with Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
CANADA (77WABC) — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sparked some outrage Wednesday in the Canadian House of Commons after accusing a Jewish conservative party member of supporting “people who wave swastikas.”
Trudeau made the comments after facing criticism from from conservative MP Melissa Lantsman, the first Jewish woman elected to her party last October.
Lantsman recited two quotes from Trudeau — in one of which he blasted the so-called “Freedom Convoy” protesters who have staged anti-COVID mandate demonstrations in Ottawa and at various border crossings.
Lantsman then brought up how Trudeau recently labeled the protesters “very often misogynistic, racist, women-haters, science-deniers, the fringe.”
Newsweek is reporting a similar “peoples convoy” is organizing in the us, set to department in late February to the nation’s capital in protest of COVID 19 mandates they believe are unconstitutional. An estimated 1,000 truckers are expected to participate.
