NEW YORK (77WABC) — Americans don’t seem too happy with their leader.
A new Quinnipiac poll shows that President Joe Biden’s approval rating has dropped to 33% with 53% disapproving. 13% have no opinion.
The same poll shows a drop from November, when Biden’s approval was a dismal 36%.
According to the poll, Americans were least happy with Biden’s handling of the economy, where 34% approved and 57% disapproved. They also disapproved of approach on foreign policy, with 35% approving and 54% disapproving. The president received his highest marks on handling the coronavirus pandemic where 39% approved and 55% disapproved.
A new Politico-Morning Consult survey also shows that 44% of voters somewhat or strongly support the job Biden is doing. 53% say they somewhat or strongly disapprove of the his handling of the job.
Additionally, 66% of those surveyed describe the U.S. as on the ‘wrong track,’ with 40% saying economic issues will determine how they vote in the 2022 midterm elections.
