J&J booster may provide strong protection against Omicron

NEW YORK, NEW YORK (77-WABC)- The New York Times is reporting that the Johnson and Johnson booster shot may provide strong protection against the Omicron variant.

This latest information coming from a study in South Africa, showing the J&J booster reduced the risk of being hospitalized

The study showed that two shots of the booster, reduced the risk of hospitalization by 85 percent.

In another study in South Africa, data shows that two shots of the  PfizerBioNTech vaccine,  reduced the risk of hospitalization by nearly 70 percent
