NEW YORK, NEW YORK -(77WABC)- Pfizer says its Covid-19 booster shot appears to work best in providing strong protection against the omicron variant, while the initial two-dose vaccine may be insufficient to prevent infection.
Pfizer and BioNTech say the data, along with data from separate lab studies, confirm that the new variant is more adept at by passing immune protection provided by existing vaccines than previous strains. However health experts say further studies are still needed.
