OXFORD, MICHIGAN -(77WABC) – Three students are dead and at least 8 people injured in a school shooting Tuesday in Michigan. It happened just before 1pm at Oxford High School in Oxford Michigan ,a suburb of Detroit.
Police managed to apprehend the shooter in minutes when calls went out to first responders regarding an active shooter.
The shooter identified as a 15 year old sophomore at the school.
CNN identifying the three students as two 14 and 17 year old girls and a 16 year old boy. Police say a motive has yet to be determined, however investigators believe the suspect acted alone.
All students were evacuated to a nearby store.
Police recovering a handgun saying the suspect fired nearly 20 rounds at his victims.
About 25 agencies and close to 60 ambulances responded to the scene.
