(New York, NY)-A man who was walking down East 42nd street near Madison Avenue around 2 am this morning, was stabbed during an attempted robbery.
Two suspects approached the man and a struggle began during which the man was stabbed in his abdomen and slashed in his hand. Despite his injuries, the man broke free flagging down two MTA police officers near Grand Central Terminal.
The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
The two male suspects fled the area. So far, no arrests are reported.
An investigation continues.
