NEW YORK, NEW YORK – ( 77WABC) Governor Kathy Hochul say’s the MTA will wait until at least 2024 to think about raising transit fares.
Hochul say’s the additional federal dollars from President Biden’s Infrastructure package, has allowed transit officials to postpone raising fares.
Subway ridership had severely fallen off during the COVID -19 pandemic, making a hugh dent in the MTA’s finances.
