Shown in this Aug. 22, 2019 photo, 12-inch wide natural gas transmission pipes lay beside U.S. Route 20 (not shown) in North Kingsville, Ohio. The construction of the $86 million Risberg pipeline system will add 28 new miles of pipe and upgrade 60 miles of pipe that transport natural gas from national transmission lines through parts of Erie County to a Dominion Energy distribution station in North Kingsville. WASHINGTON D.C. (77WABC) – The Biden Administration is looking at the possibility of  shutting down the Keystone XL Pipeline serving the Midwest.

Ronna McDaniel who is Chairwoman of  the Republican National Committee speaking on 77 WABC’s Cats at Night, says shutting the pipeline which runs through her home state of Michigan, is an extra tax on Americans who can least afford it.

McDaniel says this will hit hard for people on fixed incomes, and those struggling to pay more for gas, home heating oil and groceries.

She said voters on election day said “enough is enough”, referring to the red wave of republican wins over democrats in many local races.
