Curtis Sliwa, the Republican NYC mayoral candidate, was struck by a yellow cab on his way to 77 WABC to record his live one-hour paid programming during the final days of his campaign. The accident occurred in Midtown Manhattan near Rockefeller Center sometime around 11:30 AM.
Sliwa’s campaign said that he decided not to go to the hospital until after he finished recording his paid programming at 77 WABC. His campaign also postponed the rest of the events that were supposed to occur later today. Sliwa is now recuperating from a fractured left arm and minor injuries to his knee. With only four days left until the election, Sliwa is determined to finish his campaign on a high note.
