(LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK ) (77 WABC) -One of the largest employers in the tri state area is hiring.
Amazon wants to hire about 1,800 workers in New York City and Long Island to help out with the expected holiday crunch.
Newsday is reporting that about 1,500 positions in New York City and Long Island will be permanent.
Amazon happens to be New York City’s second largest employer.

in New York City.
