If the playoffs started today some of the matchups in the NL would be the Number 2 seeded Brewers vs the 3 seeded Braves. The Brewers have been led this year by Christian Yelich, Willy Adames and Corbin Burnes who has pitched great for Milwaukee. Adames got traded to the team during the season and has made his presence felt since becoming a Brewer. Burnes has an 8-4 record this year with a 2.30 ERA. The Braves, who the Brewers would play if the season ended today, were one win away from reaching the World Series last year but fell short against the Dodgers. The Braves are led by their Franchise player Freddie Freeman, Shortstop Dansby Swanson and second Baseman Ozzie Albies. Unfortunately for Atlanta, their other star player Ronald Acuna tore his ACL on July 10th in Miami. Many people thought that the Braves were done after this injury but then Atlanta went on a big run including winning 9 games in a row. The Braves now have a 4.5 game lead on the Phillies and are poised to win the NL East again.
