Att-Rape-Suspect
Bronx, NY (77WABC)-Police have released the surveillance video below, of a man suspected in an attempted rape around 3 am Monday morning near East 163rd St. and Teller Avenue.
Police say, the suspect approached a 37-year-old woman and began to talk to her. Police say the suspect physically forced the woman into an apartment building, building. He then began to remove the woman’s clothes in an effort to rape her. Investigators say the woman resisted the attempted rape, she fought back scratching the suspect in his face. The man then physically assaulted the woman, striking her in her face and stomach before fleeing the location with her iPhone.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was removed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.
he New York The NYPD’s Bronx Special Victims Squad is investigating. The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 5’8″ tall 130 pounds, with a slim build and a black Afro.
