NY: Disability groups urge Cuomo to stop CDPA cuts
New York, NY (77WABC)-A day after a flood of calls for NY Governor Andrew Cuomo’s resignation, NYC Republican Mayoral Candidate Curtis Sliwa plans to lead a demonstration outside of Cuomo’s 3rd Ave. office in Manhattan today.
The 67-year-old Sliwa, founder of the crime fighting group the Guardian Angels, is calling on Cuomo to step down.
A five month investigation by NY State Attorney General Letitia James finds Gov. Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women in and outside of government. The report cites a toxic work environment and alleged retaliation for those who complained.
Calls for Cuomo’s resignation came from Pres. Joe Biden, the entire NY Congressional delegation and state leaders including NJ Gov. Phil Murphy and Ct. Gov. Ned Lamont on Tuesday.
Gov. Cuomo responded to the report by the state attorney general. In a taped response he said, “I never touched anyone in appropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances.”

The Governor has not announced if he will seek re-election for a 4th term.
