An NYPD lieutenant was shot in the foot around midnight in The Bronx during a fight with a suspect.
Sources say Gunfire erupted at Lyman Place and East 169th Street in the Foxhurst section after police responded to a late Friday night 911 call there.
The uniformed lieutenant was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and is expected to recover.
It’s unclear what led to the shooting or if any suspects were immediately apprehended.
