New York, NY (77WABC)-The NYPD has released a sketch of a suspect who allegedly attacked a 47-year-old Chinese woman who was standing on the platform for the northbound number 5 train at the Canal Street Station.
Police say the suspect approached the woman, made anti-Chinese statements and kicked the victims shoulder and her left side.
Police say the attack happened on November 5th , 2020 at 10:45 at night.
The victim later sought medical treatment for pain. She never reported the incident to police until Saturday, June 19th, 2021. An investigation by the NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is ongoing.
