Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-Police say they have caught the man allegedly responsible for heartlessly stealing an electric scooter from a 7-year-old boy.
Investigators say it was 7:10 in the evening July 7th when the boy was riding his electric scooter near 36th St. and 7th Ave in Brooklyn. His path was suddenly blocked by a male suspect who removed the scooter and fled.
Police Monday arrested the man they believe is responsible for stealing the boy’s scooter. The suspect, Daniel Ufares, of 575 Central Ave. Apt. #307 in Brooklyn, NY faces numerous charges in connection with the incident. The 59-year-old is charged with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property.
Video is attached of the suspect in the vicinity of the alleged crime.
Police say the boy was unharmed.
