A woman was left hospitalized in critical condition after she was pulled down a subway staircase during an attempted robbery in lower Manhattan on Saturday morning.
The NYPD released surveillance video Sunday of a man they’re searching for in the attempted robbery inside the Canal Street station at Broadway around 9:40 a.m.
Police said a 58-year-old mother and her 22-year-old son were walking up the stairs when the man pulled the son’s bag, forcing both him and his mother to fall down the stairs.
The mother was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Sources said she was in surgery on Saturday afternoon.
Surveillance video shows the suspect exiting the station.
