Bronx, NY (77WABC)- A teenager with five prior arrests died after being shot while inside of a livery cab in the Bronx late Sunday night. The NYPD says 16-year-old Ramon Gil- Medrano of 2104 Crotona Parkway in the Bronx was shot by two persons on scooters who approached the cab and opened fire.
The deadly shooting happened late Sunday night, July 11th at approximately 11:36 pm. Police received a 911 call of a male shot at East 178 Street and Valentine Avenue, within the confines of the 46 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found the teen with gunshot wounds to his head and chest. EMSÂ transported Gil-Medrano to Saint Barnabus Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
An investigation continues. So far no arrests are reported.
