Stony Brook Children’s Hospital Seeking Participants for it’s Pfizer Trial Involving Children Under 12

Commack, NY (77WABC)-Stony Brook Children’s Hospital is launching a study of the two-dose Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine involving young children. The trial involves those between the ages of six months old and 11-years-old.
Participants are being sought for the trial which gets underway today at Stony Brook Medicine’s Advanced Specialty Care location in Commack.
Experts say younger children may need a lower dose of the Covid19 vaccinations, which is one thing the study seeks to determine. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention currently allows those age 12 and up to receive a Covid19 vaccination.
