Bronx, NY (77WABC) An investigation is underway into the death of an 8-year-old Bronx boy pronounced dead at Montefiore North Hospital emergency room Tuesday.
The NYPD says Joseph Barney of 214th St. Apt. #2 was brought by his mother to the ER unconscious and unresponsive. Investigators say Barney showed no obvious signs of trauma observed.
The official cause of death will be determined by the NYC Medical Examiner.
According to police, there are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
