Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-The NYPD says a hit and run driver fled the scene after striking a pedestrian at the intersection of Kings Highway and Remsen Avenue in Brooklyn Thursday morning.
The driver, believed operating a white van, struck a 49-year-old man around 11 in the morning. The man was left unconscious and unresponsive. The victim was transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Brookdale where he succumbed to his injuries.
There are no arrests at this time and NYPD Highway CIS is investigating.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
