New York, NY (77WABC)-As of today, no appointment is necessary at New York City-run Covid-19 vaccination sites throughout the five boroughs of Manhattan. NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio announced walk-ins are welcome at all city-run vaccination sites. The Mayor said “convenience matters to New Yorkers,” as the city seeks to recover from the viral pandemic.
The Centers for Disease Control meets today to possibly lift the PAUSE on the Johnson and Johnson (Jannsen) Covid-19 vaccine. The J & J vaccine was paused after six women developed blood clots and one died after receiving the vaccination. In NYC you must be 16 years of age or older to be eligible for a Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine and 18 years of age or older to receive a Moderna Covid-19 vaccination.
