The Iconic Luna Park In Coney Island Reopens Following Pandemic Closure

cyclone

Coney Island, NY (77WABC) People can once again enjoy the iconic rides and other attractions at the Iconic Luna Park in Coney Island, NY.

The viral pandemic forced the popular park to shutter for some 18-months.

NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio will cut the ribbon during today’s opening ceremonies scheduled for 11 am.

Covid-19 guidelines are governing the park’s reopening. For now, attendance is limited to 33% of capacity. Until Memorial Day, the park will be open on weekends. After that, Luna Park will be open seven days a week all summer long at 50% capacity.

According to the park’s website guests need to reserve an admission wristband for two-hour unlimited access.

The entrance to the park has been redesigned to allow for employees to keep track of the number of guests entering and exiting the park.

Social distancing guidelines require patrons to wear masks at all times.
