New York, NY (77WABC)-Police have identified a suspect in connection with Sunday afternoon’s violent robbery within the NYC subway system. 52-year-old Ronald Bailey remains at large in connection with the attack inside the 7th Ave. and West 34th St. station.
Police say a 50-year-old male was attacked by Bailey in front of the token booth for the northbound 2 & 3 subway line. The victim was approached from behind, repeatedly punched and kicked. Following the violent physical attack, Bailey fled the station with the man’s cellphone and $700 dollars in cash.
The man who was attacked suffered cuts and bruising to his face.
EMS transported the man to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
Police say Bailey has a white beard. He is approximately 6’2″ tall and weighs 190 pounds.
The incident remains under investigation by the NYPD.
