Trenton, NJ (77WABC)- NJ’s Gov. Phil Murphy announced Monday that vaccine eligibility for all adults becomes effective sooner than originally planned. The Gov. announced starting April 19th, all adults will be eligible for Covid-19 vaccinations. The previous date was May 1st.

The change comes as the state of NJ is expecting an increase in the supply of Covid-19 vaccinations. Also, a federally run vaccination site in Newark, NJ at the New Jersey Institute of Technology is providing 40,000 vaccinations per week in addition to the state supply from the federal government.
