BRUCKNER
(Bronx, NY/77WABC)-The NYPD says a blue sedan is believed involved in Tuesday night’s fatal shooting of 24-year-old Nelson Caban of Manhattan. Police say the victim lived at 55 East 102nd St in NY.
The shooting happened near Exit 7A of the Southbound Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx. Upon arrival, officers found Caban inside his Honda Accord stopped next to the medium of the Expressway. He was unconscious and unresponsive after being shot in his face and chest. Caban was pronounced dead at NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi.
A preliminary investigation determined that the victim was traveling southbound on the Bruckner Expressway when a blue sedan, being operated by an unknown individual, pulled alongside the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle and discharged a firearm. The vehicle then fled southbound on the Bruckner Expressway. There are no arrests at this time.
Police say they do not yet know if the man was shot because of an ongoing dispute or a road rage incident. The following is from CitiznesApp:
