(Bronx, NY/77WABC)-A 35-year-old mother whose 8-year-old son was suddenly grabbed from her as she held his hand while going down a flight of stairs at the Fordham Road Subway Station fought back. The woman began screaming. She was able to free her son as she struggled with the suspect as a small crowd gathered on the southbound D platform at the Bronx Subway station.
The suspect seen in the photos and the video is wanted for questioning by NYPD officers from the 46th precinct in the Bronx. The attempted kidnapping occurred on the evening of Tuesday, March 16th, 2021, at approximately 9:17 pm.
No injuries were reported.
Police say the unidentified male is described as being approximately 5’11” tall, 170 pounds, with a medium complexion, slim build, black hair, last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black Yankees baseball hat, light-colored pants, and carrying a black bag.
