(Queens, NY/77WABC)-One man is dead, a second hospitalized in stable condition following an attack in the vicinity of 151-20 Baisley Boulevard, in the vicinity of the Garden Inn & Suites shelter site, within the confines of the 113 Precinct in Queens. The NYPD says a 28-year-old man, who suffered a slash wound to his leg, was taken into custody at the nearby Baisley Pond Park. A knife and a boxcutter were recovered.
At 10:11 pm police received a call of a stabbing in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed, opposite the location in the vicinity of Baisley Pond Park, a 40-year-old male with stab wounds to his right leg and right hand. He was transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. The man is reported to be in stable condition.
Police say a 33-year-old male, with stab wounds to his chest, back, and neck was also discovered in the vicinity of the park. He was transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
An investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
