NORWALK, Connecticut (WABC) — Court appearances Thursday for two Norwalk, CT police officers accused of drinking while on the job last October and ignoring calls. Norwalk Police Officers, 38-year-old
Michael Dimeglio and 31-year-old Sara Laudano, 31, are charged with reckless endangerment and larceny for getting paid while allegedly not working.
The two officers were discovered at the Even Hotel shortly before 1 am on October 10th, 2020 according to authorities. Police say the two officers were “not in a condition” to respond to calls.
Both officers were originally placed on administrative leave,. After further review, a criminal investigation was launched. The criminal investigation resulted in warrants being issued for both officers.
The officers were arraigned Thursday on larceny and reckless endangerment charges in Norwalk Superior Court. They did not enter pleas and remain free on bail. The department has placed both officers on administrative leave.
