FerryHawks Get Another Shot At Ducks In Battle Of The Belt

(Central Islip, New York) – The Staten Island FerryHawks are back on Long Island tonight for another Battle of the Belt matchup against the Long Island Ducks, continuing one of the Atlantic League’s most natural local rivalries. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. at Fairfield Properties Ballpark.

For the FerryHawks, these games carry more than the usual early-June meaning. Staten Island and Long Island are close enough for fans to travel, the rivalry has a local edge, and every game against the Ducks is a chance to build momentum in front of a familiar regional audience.

The key for Staten Island is turning the rivalry energy into clean baseball. Road games can swing quickly in the Atlantic League, so the FerryHawks need steady innings from the mound, pressure on the bases and timely contact when scoring chances appear.

The series also gives the FerryHawks another opportunity to keep growing their profile across the New York area. A strong showing against the Ducks would give Staten Island fans something to carry into the rest of the week and keep the Battle of the Belt feeling alive early in the season.
