(New York, New York) – New York starts the week with a spotty shower chance Monday afternoon, mainly between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. The National Weather Service forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high near 74, with northeast winds around 11 to 13 miles per hour.
The shower risk is not expected to turn into a washout, but it is enough to affect late lunch plans, school pickup and the early commute in a few spots. The city should gradually clear Monday night, with temperatures dropping to around 53.
Tuesday looks much cleaner, with sunshine and a high near 77. That gives New Yorkers a better outdoor window before the week starts trending warmer heading into Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
